Christmas Eve eve!

Hehe, yea, been awhile since I've posted and right now I'm totally bored outta my gourd! So ya, almost Christmas time and I'm so excited! I got so many presents I wanna give Amy as we spend our first Christmas as a married couple (#7 total :P). So ya, nothing really going on her from the confines of work, just being bored and tired. Had our little Christmas party last night with Nic and Eric! Lots of fun I tell ya! Got this fun game, corgi puzzle, XBox points and a sweater for Bindi! Good food (especially the cheese dip Amy made) and good drinks, multiple glasses of Candy Cane martinis anyone? Hehe, well, thats bout it from here. Happy Holidays!

Well, its now December and almost time for....CHRISTMAS! Hooray! Hehe, got most of my shopping done for Amy within the last couple days. Got a couple more things for her but other than that we're done. As for everyone else, they're done for the most part with Ian/Amy's Dad remaining as to people to shop for. Other than that, nothing else really going on. Bindi dealt with her first snowfall without much interest. Just wait til we get as much snow as she is tall! That ought be funny!
Weirdest thing happened last night with her. I was half asleep but I remember waking up and Amy was doing something with the pup. Found out this morning that she managed to somehow get herself stuck in the pillow case! So funny! How she managed that I have no idea. But still funny nonetheless!

Been awhile!

So yea, been awhile since I've come on here! Last time was the 18th and here it has been over a week and a half! But ya, since then I've had a long weekend where Amy Ian and I mostly played Rock Star and created our own band, the Rock em Sock ems! Hehe, also Amy and I decorated while I ended up breakin a snowman and a stake that it goes too! Anyways, everythings all set up now and our yard looks awesome! :) Pup's doing good too, she got her stitches out the other day and she's still acting like herself...licking like crazy! Other than that, getting ready for the holidays and can't wait for Christmas!! :-D

Birthday Observed

So since my BDay fell on a Friday this year, Amy and I decided to celebrate my birthday "observed" yesterday. So we got all dolled up and she made me a great steak dinner with red/green peppers and mashed potatoes! It was so yum! And to top it all off she made me a red velvet cake! O my goodness it was so YUM we ended up having two pieces each! Haha! After that the two of us hung out with a couple glasses of wine and a stitched up pup! She's doing remarkably well for just having her insides cut open! :( Well, thats about it from here. Gonna go back to being bored here at work while my wife/pup are probably snoring away! Hehe :P

TSO!

So this weekend Amy and I went up to Worcester (mind you its a lil bit of a drive) and saw Trans Siberian Orchestra! Other than the fact we didn't get to go out to eat on our date (we had hot dogs/nachos lol!), it was so awesome! We had so much fun! And our seats were amazing! We could see everything so clearly! And midway thru the show the singers came out and sang like 25 feet from us! And then the guitarists came out and played on this platform thing that went up in the air! So totally awesome! They put on such a good show with the lasers, smoke, snow, lights...it was just so amazing and we had such a great time! As you can see, I posted up a video of "Christmas Canon Rock" Enjoy! :)

Feels like Christmas!

Yea! Amy and I are going to Trans Siberian Orchestra tonight up in Worcester! Gonna be soooo much fun! So ya, other than that, I'm here working right now til 4, concerts at 8pm and then back to work tomorrow 8-4! Busy busy busy! I really have nothing else to post, maybe because its too early for my brain to be functioning right now? I dunno :P

Date Night!

Last night Amy and I went out on a wicked fun date! To start off the date, Amy got to get outta work early (cuz she had to get her car inspected). From there, we went to see "Dan in Real Life". No, its not my real life story, cuz that'd probably be super boring. Although in the movie Dan did kinda dance like I would probably dance! LOL. After that, we went to Best Buy and ogled over TV's that are super big (and super expensive). From there, we went to The Chateau in Norton. It was wicked nice there! We went and ate at the little pub area and got yummy greasy food hehe. And we were mistaken when we ordered garlic bread and they gave us what ended up being complementary regular bread! Later on the waitress is like, sorry we forgot to get your garlic bread it'll be out shortly! We felt like such fools! Anyways, overall a great night with my wife :)

Trick or Treat

Well, plumber came to our house today and we're one step closer to our laundry room woohoo! Also, he turned up the furnace so that we actually get hot water! :D

Now tonight we gotta deal with the lil minions going out trick or treating. Hope we still have candy left over at the end of the night! :P

It's great being a Boston Sports Fan!!!

Celtics have a new Big 3-Pierce, Allen, Garnett. The Pats have started the season 8-0. The Bruins are so far exceeding expectations and Boston College is the NUMBER TWO team in the entire country! Oh, and the Red Sox just happened to win this thing called THE WORLD SERIES! I love it! I'm on cloud 9 right now. Red Sox swept the Colorado Rockies in 4 games and are champions of the world! Gonna be weird getting a decent amount of sleep now that the series is over (usually games got over around 1-ish)

Yep, World Series starts tonight! Game 1 of the Red Sox vs Colorado Rockies! Woo! I'm so excited! Beckett is on the mound for Boston while they counter with Jeff Francis at 8pm! Let's go Red Sox clap clap clap clap clap!

Woah oo ooo! Haha, just added that video as you can see at the top of my blog. Pretty darn neat! So this weekend was wicked fun, but as usual went by way to quick as always. Went apple picking this Saturday and ended up getting lost and in New Bedford in the process. We ended up getting there and getting like 15 lbs of apples and Amy made this wicked awesome apple pie! YUM. Then went over to Nicole and Erics to watch the Sox blow Cleveland out of the water to force a game 7 (which they ended up winning along with the American League Title! WOOOOOOOOOOOO) Then Sunday I got to use a power washer which is so cool but I'd have no real use for it if I were to have one lol. After that got to watch the Pats squish the fish (Dolphins) to go to 7-0 for first time in team history! Then I got to be a little kid and watch what was my favorite toys in action! Transformers! More than meets the eye :) Autobots, roll out! Well, that was the extent of my weekend, apples, Amy, Red Sox, Pats and the transformers! Good times

Gotcha!

So I totally surprised Amy with Trans Siberian Orchestra tickets! Her brother and I pulled a fast one on her and she totally bought it! Hehe. And got another surprise for her tonight, nothing big but it oughta be fun :) And if you read this before, Amy...I AIN'T TELLING! Haha

And this weekend ought to be fun too! Amy and I are both off and Saturday we're going apple picking! Can't wait! Hehe. As for Sunday, who knows, maybe we'll just be bums and lounge around the house. Maybe we'll watch my child hood toys in action! (Transformers)

Just finished up a wicked awesome book "A Bridge Too Far" by Cornelius Ryan about Operation Market Garden in WWII. Now onto "Flags of Our Fathers" by James Bradley about the flag raising at Iwo Jima.

Backs against the wall

Yea, not looking good for my Sox. They just look like they're playing with any spunk out there. The hitting is MIA, the pitching is subpar at best and Cleveland is flat out killing us. Francona needs to take out one of the Automatic Outs in JD Drew and put in a spark plug in Jacoby Ellsbury. But I'm sure that won't happen and he'll just leave those guys in. Oh well, theres always next year I guess :(

Bored and tired

Well, I think this rainy, gloomy weather has started to set it. Not only for me but Amy as well. We've both been so tired lately and don't know why. Seems like we've been getting good night sleep (minus Amy who I seem to keep stealing the blanket from! OOPS!). Other than that, absolutely nothing has been going on. Got my civil service scores for MA this week. It seems as though I did okay and let's hope that I can get on the force soon!


Lol, just added that badge/bed into the blog...just wanted to see what the heck it'd look like! :P Well, that's it from here. Almost time to go home! Woohoo! Time for the Sox/Indians in the ALCS! Starts tonight at 7pm! I'm so nervous!

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

Yay its Sunday! Last day of work and then a couple days off. Probably just gonna sit back and veg those couple of days. May get some stuff done around the house and of course play with the pup! Other than that, pretty much been ho hum around here. Friday Amy and I had Nicole over and we went and did takeout at Chilis. Then came home, sat around, had a couple beers and watched the Bruins and the Sox! Good times!

Almost time to go home. It's 2:40 now, the Patriots are beating up on the Cleveland Browns 20-0 at the start of the 3rd qtr. Red Sox look to take game 3 against Anaheim. Let's hope they can take it on enemy grounds! Well, back to the game!

Bad day for Coffee

If you were a coffee today and you happened to be with Dan and Amy, boy it sucked to be you. First off, Amy left for work this morning and I noticed on the counter that she had forgotten her coffee! OOPS! Then I go to do a cruiser detail and I go assist with a disabled vehicle and I left my coffee on top of the cruiser! OOPS! Thankfully the TMLP workers were able to salvage my mug, minus the coffee. The mugs lid is cracked but we got other mugs I may be able to snag a lid off of. Well, off to cleaning!

Bah to Mondays!

So, today is my last day on in my rotation and it can't come soon enough! Mondays always end up being so busy. Guess its to make up for the fact that weekends have so much down time! Between people coming in for things, people calling on the phones, Al pulling 3.5 million cars over, it's been nuts! Thankfully its almost time to go home and play with the terror...er I mean Bindi! Well, not much else going on. Got the Red Sox rally for the playoffs today as well as the Patriots tonight! So much to do in so little time!

Jealousy sets in

While I sit here working 12 hours (8 regular/4 overtime). My wife is probably sleeping at this very instant! I'm so jealous! I'd love to be in la la land right now! Well, 10 1/2 more hours to go til I can go home and veg. It's so far away! Ugh!

Anyways, went over to Eric's last night and got to hang out with all the Halo geeks. I got there with Amy and there was like 12 people there all playing Halo! I was a lil iffy on going there anyways (didn't feel like being an uber geek) and then when I got there, they had multiple screens/tv's setup! I was like geebus! Anyways, I ended up having a good time and it just made me want an XBox even more ;) Sounds like Amy and Nicole had a good time too and it was good that Nic got to get outta the house cuz shes had a pretty stinky week and now Eric's going away so she's gonna be by herself. I'm sure Amy and I will have her over and we can let Bindi take his place!

Oh, did I mention the Sox won their Division title since 1995? Let's party like its 1995! WOOO!!!! I'm so excited. Now lets see if the Sox can keep it going against the Angels when the ALDS starts up next week! EEEK!

Another weekend down the drain

Didn't really do much but work. Worked Saturday/Sunday while Amy was home being a excellent cook! Saturday she cooked me a surprise...didn't find out til she put it on the table. It was breaded chicken with ham and mozzarella cheese! It was SO good! Then we had this wicked awesome cheesecake, even though it was stubborn and didn't want to come outta the pan lol! Then Sunday she made Steak and cheese sandwiches! So darn good hehe. Well, not too much going on around here. Today's my Friday so I got the next two days off. Whoopppiieee! All this coming on the heels of our new 9-1-1 system being switched over! Glad I'm off the first couple days hehe. Well, gonna get back to work and probably read or something like that. Ciao!

This weekend

So yea, this weekend was pretty interesting. Had the Red Sox/Yankees game on Saturday and boy was it interesting! Went with Amy's brother, Ian and traffic was horrendous! Who woulda thunk traffic would be bad on a Saturday afternoon? Well, anyways, after sitting in traffic forever, we finally get to the parking garage and guess what...it was freaking FULL! I was so like grrr. Well, thankfully there was another garage up ahead and we ended up parking there. Too bad it was $26! GEEZ. Well, we had gotten there and by now I was getting a little agitated and there was a car trying to pull out and I was like no freakin way am I letting this guy go...so I look to my right and lo and behold it was John Henry, owner of the Boston Red Sox! I was like, I'll make an exception for you haha.

So, Ian and I are sitting there and there were some people there that we were sitting in the middle of (one was a Yankee fan boo) and they wanted to switch seats with us. We wanted nothing to do with them so the Yankee fan started calling Ian and I obscenities and saying that he was gonna make the next 3 hrs miserable for me. He continued talking crap about me so I had enough and ended up having an usher threaten to throw him out! I sure showed him! The guy ended up getting wicked drunk too and was trying to be our best friend. I was like ya, whatever. Anyways, we ended up kicking the Yankees butt so it was definitely worth the drive and the hassle. We (the Sox) ended up winning 10-1!

Same ole

Same ole stuff going on here. Nothing really new, just felt like blogging today even though I don't have much to say. Works been a little hectic around here lately with our new 911 system being installed. They're putting in this server-like thing which is like 8 feet tall and weighs over 800lbs! Hohum, I'm so bored right now. Maybe I'll go read or something. Adios!

Been Awhile!

So it's been awhile since I've been here. Since last posting, I've gotten married, went to the Cape for a getaway and been to two Red Sox games!

So ya, got married on August 25th! What a great day! Seems like everyone there had a great time (minus a couple exceptions) Amy looked, well she looked like the princess she is.

I was so nervous on that day! Thankfully everyone was able to keep me calm including the photographer! They just kept telling me to breathe and everything would be just fine. Finally, Amy appeared at the top of the staircase...I thought I'd be okay, but I wasn't. I started blubbering and then Amy started blubbering so we were both blubbering together. The ceremony went off without a hitch. We both said our "I do's" and next thing we know we're Mr. and Mrs Smith! Everything else after that was phenomenal! From the food, to the DJ, photographer, our wedding coordinator, the guests(mostly)...everything was superb. We had this awesome stuffed chicken I could only eat half of! And the cake....mmm cake :) Then came time for some fun!

We danced (well at least the kids did) all afternoon and Amy and I made the rounds to most of the guests and said our hello's and thank yous and then next thing we know we were outta there! Couple hours later we were on our way to the Cape. We stayed at this lil Inn in Falmouth. It was right off the main strip so we got to go through all the shops. Ended up going to the beach the first night (even tho it was quite windy!) Went home, enjoyed a couple cocktails and called it a night! We were zonked! Next day we did some more shopping, then thought we'd take a quick stroll to the beach! What we thought would be a quick walked was a couple miles! Then it was a couple miles back and we almost ended up getting lost! Ended up grabbing a quick bite to eat and drink at this lil martini bar...I had a "Green Monster" and Amy had a Banana Split...both were so gooooooood! hehe. Then we ended up going to a lil British Pub and was very quaint and cozy and had great food and drink. After all was said and done we were quite pooped that night too. Next day we ended up leaving around 10:30 or so. Overall, it was a great time there. Getting away from everything, no stress work or anything for that matter...it was quite relaxing.

Next up was a couple Sox games. Saw the Red Sox vs. the Orioles last Friday with Eric and Nicole in which they lost (too bad it couldn't have been the next day cuz a rookie threw a no hitter!) Oh, also got to meet a former Sox player from the 70's! Luis Tiant! I was like a lil kid hehe

Then last night, went to the Sox...we were so tired from working all day. Sox ended up losing and on our way home they shut down the on ramp to our way home! We ended up having to go on the Mass Pike and taking the long way home! What an adventure! Then we finally get home and man, the dog was ALL wound up. We hardly got any sleep :( Oh well...gonna be a nice relaxing night of dinner and a movie. Sounds like my kind of night! Well, gonna stop ramblin now. Adios!

TGIF

Yea, TGIF! Although in actuality its my Monday! BOOOOO. Only 4 more days til I'm on vacation! Woopppiieee! So yea, its getting ever so close to the big day! 8 more days til Amy and I are officially Mr. and Mrs. Smith! (And no, not Angelina and Brad :-x) I'm getting so excited I just can't wait! I can't wait for the big day, I can't wait for our lil trip to Falmouth and I can't wait to just sit back and get away from everything! No work, no worries...just the Mrs. and I :o)
So ya, in other news, our pup has been sick lately (we think shes been teething) so I called up the vet's yesterday and they changed her appointment and almost instantaneously after I called, she (the pup) all of a sudden was better! Barking up a storm, running around. It's almost as if she was like, I just wanna get my darn dox appointment overwith so change it! Haha

Fenway Green!

So as I'm sleepin in lala land, Amy wakes me up this morning saying she dropped her phone in her cereal! Guess it musta been thirsty lol. But anyways, since I worked at Verizon, I knew some of the secret ins and outs of trying to fix phones. First I took the battery off and dried that out. It still powered on, mind you, but the dang buttons didn't work. Anyways, I told Amy to put her phone by the space heater she has at work and it seems to be workin so-so right now. I hope my trick works!
So, I just finished up painting the computer room which we're painting Fenway Green! Looks just like I'm at Fenway Park haha! Well, not really...but its getting there. Gonna need at least a cpl more coats of paint and hopefully that should do the trick! Amy got this need lil brush with an edger on it so that I don't accidentally paint the ceiling green! It's pretty neat, but its very small and rotates all over the place. So I just used the big brush for the time being and will prob use the small one to paint up by the ceiling. Oh, and did I mention that I'm COVERED in paint lol. I don't know how, but I guess I'm just a paint magnet. Anyways, I'm gonna go veg and let the paint dry before I put another coat on.

Getting Closer!

Eek! Amy and I just applied for our marriage license today! We're getting so close! (only 12 more days!) We even had to take an oath and everything too(saying that we weren't related lol) But ya, I keep looking back and it seems just like the other day that I was fumbling a ring out of my pocket at the Red Sox game (and spilling the beer of the guy next to us) and dropping to one knee. But in reality its been almost a year now and the big day is upon us! I can't wait :) Well, I'm gonna go back to sittin here thinking how there's so much stuff we need to get done!

Weekend

Well, today's Saturday, and I'm stuck here working (well only for 4 hours hehe) while Amy gets to sleep in! I'm soooo jealous! Getting off work at 12 to do some major cleaning and some serious lawnmowing. Got some of my relatives coming over to give us our wedding present! I'm so excited! Wonder what it could be? Anyways, they haven't seen the house yet and figured that we'll give em the grand tour (of 6 rooms lol!)

Well, almost won my first poker tourney last night! Nicole took Amy out for a lil bacherlorette thing in RI while I went out with Eric over to one of his coworkers house. It was a $10 buy-in among 9 people and it was decided the pot would be split $60/$20/$10. Really wasn't doing too well and in fact was down to only a few chips when I was dealt a pair of Aces...ended up winning that hand and ended up making a nice little comeback and ended up finishing in 2nd! I was shocked! Haha. Ended up losing to a King High hand...oh well, I had fun and ended up winning $10! Well, guess I'ma go back to reading. Only 2 1/2 more hours!

Simpsons!

So I've been a bored lil beaver today. Not a busy one, just a bored one. Haven't really done anything productive at all today but sit here and browse the web. Other than that, nothing. Really nothing going on. Turned myself into a Simpsons character and it kinda looks like me! Haha. Got our engagement pix back from our photog and they came out really good! So hard to figure out which one we wanna go with but we came to an agreement we think. Other than that, nothing going on.
Oh, did I mention the Red Sox are stinkin up the joint lately? Our lead over the Evil Empire keeps shrinkin and its now down to 5 games! EEK! Gonna end up bein another 1978 all over again!!! :-o

Oatmeal

Yep, that's my title for the post cuz that's what I'm attempting to eat but everybody feels like pulling over 18 cars at the same time! So now I'ma have cold oatmeal. Bah, oh well I'll deal I guess. Annyyywayyyys, going to get our pictures done tonight for the wedding...hopefully the weather will hold out so Amy and I can look cute together :) Well, I'ma go back to enterin in all this info and attempt to eat what will be cold oatmeal soon enough

Loving the Public

Yep, can't say how much I love dealing with them! Just had a real peckerhead come in bitching about a report and bitchin that there were no pens! (Actually we got plenty of pens but I didn't feel like giving him one hehe) Anyways, its early in the morning so really not much going on other than me just drinkin my coffee, checking my email...ya know, the boring stuff. Gonna post up a poll in a lil bit so let me know what y'all think.

Well, lil update...looks like the polls don't really work! What do you guys think? Should I get a Kevin Garnett jersey or no?

Zzzzz

So ya, I figured I'm bored outta my mind here at work so why not be like everyone else and have me a blog! I'm currently sittin here in dispatch bored with the internet, bored with playin games and it seems like I can't find a happy medium with the heat/AC. Either I'm too hot or too cold. Anyways, as I sit here I'm counting down the hours (3) until its 1600 (4PM) and I can go home and play with my wild and rambunctious puppy! She's quite the handful I tell ya! If shes not biting, shes barking, if shes not barking shes chewing, if shes not doin any of those shes actually well behaved. I'll probably go home in an hr to check on her and let her out to go pee and run around for a bit and then put her back in her cage to let her sleep for a cpl more hrs before I get home.
After that I'll wait for my honey to come home where we'll go to Shaws and get ingredients for some calzones and some stuff for our lil picnic on Saturday :). After that its off to home and watching our latest Neflix movie, maybe a lil Wii, a lil Red Sox and if possible maybe squeeze in some Rescue Me. Well, I'm gonna sit here, continuing to be bored. Who knows, maybe I'll make another post later!
